India National Cricket Team skipper Rohit Sharma and premier batter Virat Kohli are all set to feature in the three-match ODI series against the England National Cricket Team. As per the reports in Sports Tak, it is learned that both batters are expected to play all three games.

Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, who recently played the five-match Test series in Australia, will be returning to their respective homes soon. It was earlier learned that due to workload management, the duo might be rested for the three-match ODI series against the England National Cricket Team.

The series against England is the only series ahead of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025

But with the series against England being the only series ahead of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, both are expected to feature in the series. The India National Cricket Team will be hosting Three Lions in a five-match T20I series, followed by the three 50-over games in January and February.

Rohit and Kohli are enduring a tough time in cricket, and the upcoming three-match ODI series against England will be a massive opportunity for them to return to form. Both the batters struggled badly in Tests in Australia and came under massive scanner, facing a lot of criticism.

Virat Kohli hit a solid century in the first game of the series, but his form vanished quickly after that. The premier batter failed in all the innings after that as the balls outside off brought his downfall in all the innings and saw him receiving a lot of flak for it.

On the other hand, it was an even worse situation for Rohit Sharma. He missed the first game and then batted in the middle order for the next two games. However, the move didn't work, as he bagged failures in all four innings. Then, he decided to move back to the top in Melbourne.

That, too, didn't work as Rohit Sharma failed in both the innings there as well. The India National Cricket Team skipper then took a massive call for the team as he dropped himself for the last match in Sydney and allowed Jasprit Bumrah to take over the charge of the team.

The ODI series against England will be extremely important for Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli

With both Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli struggling, there have been calls related to their retirement as well. Hence, the upcoming ODI series against the England National Cricket Team, followed by the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, will hold great value for the two stalwarts of Indian cricket.

The first India vs England ODI will be played in Nagpur on 6th February. The second match is scheduled to take place on 9th February in Cuttack. The last match of the series between the teams will be taking place on 12th February in Ahmedabad.
