According to a recent report in Dainik Jagran, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has confirmed the boycott of the Asia Cup 2025 final between India and Pakistan.
The report suggests that the top Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) officials have decided not to attend the summit clash of the ongoing edition of the Asia Cup in Dubai.
BCCI continues its 'invisible boycott'
India and Pakistan locked horns for the first time since the Pahalgam terror attack and the Operation Sindoor on Sunday, September 14, in the group stage match of the Asia Cup 2025.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) officials didn't attend that game despite India being the official hosts of the tournament, and it was termed as the 'invisible boycott' by the BCCI.
India gave a brutal thrashing to Pakistan in that game and registered a 7-wicket victory. Then, in the Super Four game between the two teams on Sunday, September 21, the BCCI officials once again refused to attend the game, and in that match as well, the Men In Blue won by 6 wickets in a dominant manner.
This trend is set to continue when India and Pakistan clash in the final of the Asia Cup 2025 at the Dubai International Stadium on Sunday, September 28. According to a report in Dainik Jagran, no BCCI official will attend the game.
Reportedly, some officials wanted to visit Dubai to watch the match, but they were denied permission by the higher powers.

Suryakumar Yadav said NO to captains' photoshoot?
On Saturday, September 27, several media outlets reported that the Indian skipper Suryakumar Yadav had refused to attend the captains' photoshoot with Salman Agha before the final.
When the Pakistan captain, Salman Agha, was asked about this in the press conference, he said that he would follow the protocol, and Suryakumar Yadav is free to do whatever he wishes to.
However, the Dainik Jagran reporter claimed that the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) hasn't sent any updates regarding the captains' photoshoot to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
"According to BCCI sources, written instructions are received before every match about what to do and what not to do So far, the Indian team has not received in writing from ACC regarding a photo shoot," Abhishek Tripathi wrote on X.
"What happened last time will not determine what happens this time. The update so far is that nothing official has come from the ACC to the BCCI regarding the photoahoot It will be considered when something comes officially," he added.

Indian spinners to destroy Pakistan in final
Team India have employed a spin-heavy strategy in the Asia Cup 2025, with the trio of Kuldeep Yadav, Axar Patel, and Varun Chakravarthy being part of the playing XI. All the spinners have been highly successful and would want to continue their good form in the Asia Cup final.
In a recent interview with IANS, Amit Mishra lauded Kuldeep Yadav, Varun Chakravarthy, and Axar Patel for their performances, and he also praised the synergy between the trio. He said:
"I felt good on seeing his performances, but in between he got lost in the middle. He started bowling fast and I feel that speed has to be used as a variation. A wrist spinner is a wicket-taking bowler, and when he came earlier, he had a wicket-taking attitude, and you have to keep that (intact)."
"Small changes are very important in fielding and bowling as per evolving standards in T20s. But just keep in mind that whatever changes you make, do it according to your bowling and not as per other people's thoughts. It's a good thing that he is taking wickets aplenty and this is the most important thing. His effort should be in such a way that it reflects on him being a bowler who can be a game changer in every match. So whenever he picks wickets, I feel it will always be of benefit for the team."
"This is what happens in a team. Just like there is a partnership in batting, there is a partnership in bowling too. Every bowler will not take 3-4 wickets. Some bowlers put pressure on you and someone else takes the wicket. It has happened many times with me as well. Like when I used to play cricket, the times I didn't get wickets, so I used to try to create pressure so that the other bowler can take a chance and get a wicket. So this partnership of the spin troika is going well - Axar Patel, Varun Chakaravarthy, and Kuldeep Yadav are playing well together."
