BCCI Invites Tender For Title Sponsor Rights For IPL 2024-28 Cycle

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Tuesday (12th December) released the tender for title sponsor rights for the upcoming editions of the Indian Premier League (IPL). The sponsor rights will be for seasons 2024-2028.

The document for ‘Invitation to Tender’ (“ITT”) will be made available on receipt of payment of a non-refundable fee of INR 5,00,000. Apart from this, there will be applicable Goods and Services Tax. BCCI also confirmed that Invitation to Tender will be available for purchase till January 8, 2024.

BCCI also provided a mail ID in [email protected] for the interested parties. They will have to email the details of the payment made for the purchase of the ITT. The governing body also stated that parties should share the document only after they will get confirmation of payment of the ITT fee, which will be non-refundable.

BCCI also stated that the highest bid submitted by the parties shall be subject to Tata Sons Private Limited exercising its ‘Right to Match’ such bid (“RTM”). The governing body also will have the right to cancel or amend the bidding process at any stage in any manner without providing any reason.

BCCI releases list of players who have registered for IPL 2024 auction

BCCI recently announced the list of players who have registered for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 auction. Overall 333 cricketers have registered for the auction. In the lot, 214 players are from India whereas 119 are overseas and 2 players are from associate nations. There are 116 capped and 215 uncapped players. The auction for the 2024 edition of the league will take place in Dubai on 19th December at Coca-Cola Arena. All the franchises have revealed their list of retained and released players. The trade window is still open and will close on 12th December. So far Hardik Pandya moving to Mumbai Indians has been the biggest news.
