"BCCI is run by fools"- Asia Cup 2025 schedule confirmation leads to immense bashing

Indian Cricket Team fans have vented their frustration towards the BCCI for having agreed to play in the upcoming Asia Cup, which will also include Pakistan as another participating nation.
There was immense speculation over the Indian team possibly looking to pull out of the multi-team continental championship in the aftermath of the heartwrenching terror attack in the Pahalgam valley.
Even the BCCI was in a dilemma over the hosting of the Asia Cup, and over several questions, they just had one response: they were awaiting the government's clearance. Reportedly, the government green signal has arrived, and the BCCI officials have confirmed the Asia Cup event.
Though the official confirmation is awaited for the next scheduled meeting of the ACC, the confirmation has come after BCCI officials participated in the Dhaka AGM through an online platform.
ICT Fans upset over BCCI agreeing to feature in Asia Cup alongside Pakistan
The Asian Cricket Council's annual general meeting was held on the 24th of July at Dhaka, which marked the presence of all its member nations. Many were present physically, while the officials from some boards, including the BCCI, joined it online.
The meeting was chaired by ACC President Mohsin Naqvi, and the decision was made that the Asia Cup will be held in the September window and India will be hosting the events with a probable neutral venue for Pakistan's matches.
The Asia Cup also confirmed that eight teams will be participating in the Asia Cup. Alongside the Asia Cup, the meeting also took a massive call for the inclusion of cricket in the Asian Games 2026, as it would mark cricket's return to a multi-sport event for the first time since the 1998 Commonwealth Games.
India and Pakistan to be placed in the same group; UAE as a probable neutral venue
India has decided to play the upcoming continental championship, which would feature the likes of Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, the UAE, Oman, and Hong Kong as the remaining 7 teams.
With 4 teams each likely placed together in one group, there have been speculations suggesting India and Pakistan can be placed in the same group, as this has been the case in multi-tournament tournaments of both the ICC and the ACC.
This has further infuriated the ICT fans, as they have blamed the BCCI for thinking only about monetary profits and violating the emotions of several Indians, the Indian soldiers who died in the cross-border tensions, and the families of the innocent who died in the Pahalgam valley.

Why else would BCCI want to play with emotions of country by going ahead with this tournament? This is the so called money making clash...

At a time when Pakistan continues to sponsor cross-border hostility and harbor anti-India elements, putting India in the same group is more than poor planning, it’s political tone-deafness. Sport cannot whitewash terrorism. 🇮🇳
