Virat Kohli is all set to have his biggest cheerleader in the stands to cheer for him during India’s last group match in the ongoing ICC Champions Trophy 2025 against New Zealand on Sunday (March 2) at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai.

The former Indian skipper has recently found his mojo back, hitting an unbeaten century to guide India to a 6-wicket victory over Pakistan in Dubai. The Men in Blue have already qualified for the semifinals of the ongoing ICC Champions Trophy 2025 after winning their first two games.

Before the knockouts of the tournament, India’s last group match against the Black Caps will be special for Kohli. It will be the dashing right-hander’s 300th ODI game on Sunday. Kohli will become only the seventh Indian and 23rd international cricketer to reach the milestone.

After taking the field against the Black Caps in Dubai, the Indian batting maestro will join the likes of Sachin Tendulkar and MS Dhoni to reach this milestone. Virat, who recently became the third highest run-scorer of all time in ODI cricket, will become the first player since West Indies legend Chris Gayle in 2019 to achieve this milestone.

Meanwhile, Kohli will have special supporters in the stand during the India versus New Zealand match in Dubai, as his wife Anushka Sharma and elder brother Vikas Kohli will attend the match on Sunday. It is being said that Anushka and Vikas will attend the Indian batting maestro's 300th ODI game.

Sources were quoted as saying by ANI, “Anushka Sharma and Vikas Kohli (Virat Kohli's elder brother) will reach Dubai tomorrow for Virat Kohli's 300th ODI match.”

Notably, the BCCI introduced a new rule earlier this year, restricting the time players can spend with their families during tours. For trips longer than 45 days, families can stay for two weeks, while shorter tours allow only a seven-day visit.

For the ongoing ICC Champions Trophy 2025, BCCI initially barred families from traveling to Dubai, as the tournament was just three weeks long. However, the Indian cricket board later allowed families to attend only one match, and India captain Rohit Sharma’s wife, Ritika Sajdeh, already attended one match. Now, Anushka will be joining Kohli for his landmark match.
