BCCI Names 14-member India ‘A’ Squad For ACC Emerging Women’s Asia Cup 2023; Shweta Sehrawat To Lead The Team

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the 14-member India ‘A’ squad for the upcoming ACC Emerging Women’s Asia Cup 2023, which will kick off on June 12 in Hong Kong. Batting all-rounder Shweta Sehrawat was named captain of the team.
Eight teams will participate in the tournament, and they will play in two groups – Group A and Group B. The Women in Blue will begin their campaign in the tournament by taking on hosts Hong Kong at the Tin Kwong Road Recreation Ground on Tuesday, June 13.

Leg-spinner Parshavi Chopra and pacer Titas Sadhu, who excelled in the Women’s U19 World Cup, were included in the squad. Kanika Ahuja and spin-bowling all-rounder Shreyanka Patil made it to the squad with their impressive performances in the Women’s Premier League.
“The All India Women’s Selection Committee on Friday announced the India A (Emerging) squad for the upcoming ACC Emerging Women’s Asia Cup 2023,” BCCI said in a release.

India ‘A’ (Emerging) is a part of Group A along with Hong Kong, Thailand ‘A’ and Pakistan ‘A’. On the other hand, Bangladesh ‘A’, Sri Lanka ‘A’, Malaysia, and the United Arab Emirates are in Group B. The final match of the tournament will be played on June 21.
