India Today’s Boria Majumdar confirmed that Sourav Ganguly will be discharged on Saturday itself after getting an angioplasty done.

“He felt dizzy when he was in the gym and he went to Woodlands to get the Tests done. That’s when it came to light that there was a cardiac issue and the hospital has now created a 3 member board with Dr Saroj Mondal who will perform the procedure. @SGanguly99 get well soon,” Boria tweeted.

A major turnaround came in world cricket when team India announced their domination by winning the Natwest Trophy in England back in the year 2002. The Ganguly-led India beat Nasser Hussain’s England in the final in a nail-biting encounter.

Sourav Ganguly has massively helped team India in producing world-class superstars. He backed players like MS Dhoni, Virender Sehwag, Zaheer Khan, Yuvraj Singh, Mohammed Kaif, Irfan Pathan and a lot many Indian superstars. Later, these stars won the world cup for team India in 2011 after 28 years.
