Ben Duckett FORCED to deactivate X account after ruthless Jasprit Bumrah fans tear him apart

England National Cricket Team batter Ben Duckett has come under massive pump after the bizarre statement that he gave on Jasprit Bumrah. The opening batter, following the backlash, has deactivated his X (formerly known as Twitter) account.
England's next assignment is all set to be against India. The two teams will be locking horns with each other in the five-match Test series this June and both Ben Duckett and Jasprit Bumrah no doubt will be will be playing a key role for their respective teams in the series.

With the series still around the corner, Ben Duckett was asked about Jasprit Bumrah in an interview with Daily Mail. The opening batter threw the punch at India's pacer, saying that the fast bowler won't be surprising him in the series, and he knows what will be on the offer.
"I’ve faced him (Bumrah) in a five-Test series before. I know what he’s going to do to me, and the good thing about that is I know what skills he has. There’s going to be nothing that surprises me," said Ben Duckett ahead of the series.

Immediately after his statement went viral, Ben Duckett faced a lot of criticism, with many lashing out at the England batter for comments, especially with the Three Lions struggling to get going of late. But the opening batter was quick to clear his comments.
On his Twitter account, Ben Duckett defended his comments, saying that he never claimed he would fare well against the India fast bowler and advised another X user to read the article before making assumptions. But immediately after that, he deactivated his account.
Ben Duckett was troubled a lot by Jasprit Bumrah during England's tour to India in 2024. The India pacer removed the batter once in the series, where he picked 19 wickets – the third-best tally of the series where spinners had their say.

During the same interview with Daily Mail, Ben Duckett also acknowledged the challenge of facing India at their home. But, he stressed that the Rohit Sharma-led aren't as strong when on tour. He said:
“India at home is very different to India away. It’s a side I feel we should beat and we can beat. It’ll be a good series."
Ben Duckett, since the last few months, has been England's best batter across the formats. If the Ben Stokes-led side has to fancy their chances of winning the series against India, then the opening batter has to bring his best with the bat.
