Champion England all-rounder Ben Stokes came up with a savage reply to a troll, who questioned his priorities as far as playing for his country and for his IPL club is concerned.

Ben Stokes, who was the only English player who featured in every single game during the recently-concluded England tour of India, is now gearing up for the 14th season of the Indian Premier League where he will once again turn up for the Rajasthan Royals.

Ahead of the upcoming season, Stokes appeared on Sky Sports Cricket to discuss the Rajasthan Royals prospects this year.

The official handle of Sky Sports Cricket uploaded the same on their Twitter timeline where one user alleged that Stokes is once again ‘chasing a pound note and that he will be ‘too tired’ to bowl once he’s back in an England shirt.

Chasing a pound note again, once back in an England shirt will be too tired to bowl ,” a Twitter user wrote.

In reply, Ben Stokes asked the user as to when did he ever feel ‘too tired’ in a England shirt.

”When have I ever been too tired to bowl in a England shirt pal???”- Ben Stokes replied.

Meanwhile, Ben Stokes is confident that Rajasthan Royals will successfully exorcise the demons of what was a poor last season where they ended up with a wooden spoon.

The swashbuckling all-rounder, who opened the innings for his franchise last year, is impressed by the signings that RR has made during the auction, adding that the depth and strength of the squad this year is pretty good.

“Last year was obviously disappointing. Yes, we finished bottom of the table but I think it’s not as simple as that. There were a lot of teams still vying for a play-off place towards the back-end of that competition,” said Ben Stokes on Sky Sports Cricket.

We ebbed and flowed with our performances throughout the season: we had some great ones followed by some pretty poor performances. But every year is a clean slate and we are really excited about the prospects of what we are able to do on the field this year. We’ve made some great signings in the off-season so the depth and strength we have in the squad is really good and I’m really excited about getting started.” added Stokes.
