Amid all this, the Cricket Association of Bengal has formally written to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to move the game by two days. Not only the Ranji Trophy 2024-25 game but the state Association also wants the Under-23 team's match against Railways, set to take place in Kalyani on October 27, to be moved.

Bengal's last few games have been impacted a lot by the weather

The team's last few games have been impacted a lot by the weather. Their last game against Bihar on October 18 was abandoned without a single ball being bowled due to the rain and wet outfield. Even before that, their game against Uttar Pradesh ended in a draw on October 11.

The weather conditions have put the team in a tricky phase in the Ranji Trophy 2024-25. The washout in the last game has put them in a spot of bother. The game against Kerala holds great significance for the side as it could decide their future in the Ranji Trophy 2024-25.
