Bengaluru City Police Pays Tribute to AB de Villiers
Bengaluru City Police has paid their tribute to South African talisman batsman AB de Villiers.
The right-hander called it a day from the International arena on Wednesday. Consequently, Bengaluru City Police joined the long list of admirers for the talismanic batsman.
Meanwhile, it is well known that AB de Villiers plays for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Indian Premier League. The former South African skipper had scored 480 runs in the 11 innings he played in this season.
De Villiers’ decision came as a shocker.
Meanwhile, AB de Villiers had surprisingly called it a day yesterday. However, the South African talismanic batsman had also cleared the air that he will continue to play for his domestic team, Titans.
Consequently, de Villiers would be seen plying on his trade in the different T20 leagues across the globe. Thus, de Villiers would be seen playing for the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the next season of IPL.
AB de Villiers came up with the most arduous shots in the cricket world. Furthermore, there is no doubt that AB will go down as a modern-day great. Moreover, the South African player was a live wire on the field.
De Villiers played 114 Test matches, 228 One-Dayers and 78 Twenty20 Internationals for the South African team.
He scored 8,765 runs in the red-ball form, 9,577 runs in the 50-over format and 1,672 runs in the shortest format.
Bengaluru City Police took to Twitter to pay the tribute to AB de Villiers. Their post read,
“It’s not ABC, its ABD the most humble and passionate cricketer on this planet. While it’s not BCD, it’s BCP the most courteous and sensible to serve the Public. 360 tributes from BCP to Mr.360° @ABdeVilliers17 on his retirement”.
