Openers: Jake Fraser-McGurk, KL Rahul

The Delhi Capitals Playing 11 for IPL 2025 will have a new opening pair. While Jake Fraser-McGurk is expected to continue as an opener, he will have KL Rahul as his opening partner. Towards the end of the last season, Abishek Porel was opening the innings with Fraser-McGurk.

However, with DC signing up Rahul in the recently concluded mega auction, it won't be surprising if the India star opens the innings for the franchise. Fraser-McGurk had hit the ground running in his debut IPL season earlier this year while Rahul is a proven campaigner. DC will be hoping that the duo put on a strong show in IPL 2025.

Rahul will also have a point to prove after his unceremonious exit from Lucknow Super Giants. The former LSG captain was publicly scolded by the team owner Sanjeev Goenka and will be looking to bounce back. There is also a good chance that he will lead DC in IPL 2025.

Middle-order batsmen and allrounders: Abishek Porel, Harry Brook, Tristan Stubbs, Ashutosh Sharma, Axar Patel

Delhi Capitals' middle order will be filled with several big hitters. Porel, who was retained by the franchise, is expected to bat at number three. He scored 327 runs at an average of almost 160 in the last season and will be eyeing another prolific campaign with the bat.

Harry Brook missed the last season of the IPL due to personal reasons and will be looking to make amends in IPL 2025. The England star will also be desperate to prove himself in the IPL after a forgettable outing in his debut campaign in 2023.

Tristan Stubbs was also retained by DC and will be looking to repay the faith shown in him by the franchise. The South Africa star was one of the team's best performers in IPL 2024, scoring 378 runs with the help of three fifties and a strike rate of more than 190.

In Ashutosh Sharma, DC has an exciting batsman who made a name for himself with his big-hitting last season. Axar Patel will be another important member of the team. DC have a strong bowling lineup for IPL 2025. The pace department is likely to be led by veteran Mitchell Starc. The Australia star played a huge role in Kolkata Knight Riders' victorious campaign earlier this year. After a tough start, he bounced back in style and was adjudged the Player of the Match in the qualifier as well as the final.

He will have the company of Mukesh Kumar and T Natarajan in the pace department. Kuldeep Yadav is set to be the leader of the spin attack and will have Axar as his spin partner.
