Gujarat Titans (GT) will be eyeing a strong show in IPL 2025 after a disappointing campaign in the previous season. For the first time since their first in 2022, GT failed to advance to the playoffs and will be looking to bounce back next year.

Under the captaincy of Shubman Gill, the Gujarat-based outfit struggled to find consistency in its performance. In the end, the 2022 IPL champions finished in a disappointing eighth spot. For the upcoming season, GT have assembled a strong squad by signing several big names in the just-concluded IPL 2025 mega auction.

Openers: Shubman Gill, Jos Buttler

The GT Playing 11 looks set to have a new opening opening combination for IPL 2025. In the last season, Gill opened the innings with the likes of Wriddhiman Saha and Sai Sudharsan. However, the India star looks likely to open the innings with England star Jos Buttler in IPL 2025.

GT signed up Buttler in the mega auction and will be hoping that the T20 World Cup winner justifies the call. In the last season, Buttler did not have the best of seasons with the bat although he still managed to hit two centuries.

Gill, on the other hand, scored 426 runs in 12 games with the help of a century and two half-centuries. Even after a decent outing, he failed to make the cut for the T20 World Cup and will be looking to come up with a better performance in IPL 2025.

Middle-order batsmen and allrounders: Sai Sudharsan, Rahul Tewatia, Shahrukh Khan, Sherfane Rutherford, Washington Sundar

Sai Sudharsan is likely to bat at number three in IPL 2025. The left-handed batsman was one of Gujarat Titans best performers last season. In 12 games, he had scored 527 runs with the help of a century and two fifties. Rahul Tewatia and Shahrukh Khan are likely to follow Sudharsan at no.4 and 5 respectively.

Both the players are known for their big-hitting abilities. Gujarat Titans had retained both of them and they would be looking to justify the call. Sherfane Rutherford is another name that is likely to feature regularly in the Gujarat Titans Playing 11 next season.

The West Indies star did not play a single game last season while representing Kolkata Knight Riders and will be keen to make a big impact. Washington Sundar will be one of the all-rounders for Gujarat Titans and he too is set to play regularly for the team.

Bowlers: Rashid Khan, Kagiso Rabada, Mohammed Siraj, Prasidh Krishna

Gujarat Titans have a formidable attack for IPL 2025. Kagiso Rabada is looking destined to spearhead GT's pace attack next season.

The other pacers in the lineup are Mohammed Siraj and Prasidh Krishna. On the other hand, Rashid Khan will be leading the spin department.
