After several disappointing seasons in recent times, Mumbai Indians will be desperate to have a better campaign in IPL 2025. The five-time champions have not won the IPL since 2020 when they became the first-ever team to win the tournament five times.
Mumbai Indians have not even qualified for the final since 2020. Last season, they had a disastrous campaign under new captain Hardik Pandya. The decision to sack Rohit Sharma and appoint Pandya as the captain completely backfired as MI finished at the bottom of the points table.
Even though there were rumors that Rohit would be leaving the franchise, Mumbai Indians managed to retain not only him but Pandya as well apart from retaining the likes of Jasprit Bumrah, Suryakumar Yadav, and Tilak Varma.
So as MI looks to bounce back next season, we are taking a look at the Best Mumbai Indians Playing 11 for IPL 2025.
Mumbai Indians squad:

Openers: Rohit Sharma, Will Jacks
With Ishan Kishan leaving for Sunrisers Hyderabad, the Mumbai Indians Playing 11 will have a new opening combination for IPL 2025. While former captain Rohit Sharma is set to be one of the openers, he is likely to have Will Jacks as his opening partner.
After losing the MI captaincy, Rohit redeemed himself by leading India to a historic T20 World Cup title in June this year. The veteran batsman will now be looking to make a big impact with the bat in IPL 2025. In the previous season, he scored 417 runs in 14 games with the help of a century and a fifty.
On the other hand, Jacks plied his trade for Royal Challengers Bengaluru last season. In 8 games, the England star scored 230 runs with the help of a whirlwind century and a half-century.
Middle-order batsmen and allrounders: Suryakumar Yadav, Tilak Varma, Naman Dhir, Hardik Pandya, Karn Sharma
Suryakumar Yadav and Tilak Varma will be leading MI's charge with the bat in the middle-order. In the last season, Yadav scored 345 runs in 11 games including a century and three half-centuries. Earlier this year, he was also named India's T20I captain and hopes will be sky-high for him.
Varma will be another player to watch out for. In the recently concluded T20I series against South Africa, the southpaw scored back-to-back centuries and followed it up with another century in the ongoing Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.
Naman Dhir is also likely to be a regular in the MI Playing 11 next season. For the allrounders' slot, captain Hardik Pandya and Karn Sharma are set to be picked.
Bowlers: Deepak Chahar, Trent Boult, Jasprit Bumrah, Allah Ghazanfar/Mitchell Santner
MI have assembled a very strong attack for the next season. The attack will be led by none other than Jasprit Bumrah, arguably the best fast bowler in the world at present. The other pacers in the attack are Deepak Chahar and Trent Boult.
Boult and Chahar can just blow away any team with the new ball while Bumrah has the ability to inflict damage on the opposition at any stage. For the spinner's slot, MI is likely to pick one between Mitchell Santner and Allah Ghazanfar.
