RR Playing 11 for IPL 2025:
Openers: Yashasvi Jaiswal, Sanju Samson
Yashasvi Jaiswal is set to have a new opening partner in IPL 2025. The left-handed batsman opened the innings with Jos Buttler in the last season of the IPL. And captain Sanju Samson will likely be the other opener for Rajasthan Royals in the forthcoming season.
Samson has been opening the innings for India in T20Is and has done remarkably well. In his last five T20Is, he has hit three centuries and will be eyeing more success at the top of the order. Jaiswal, on the other hand, will be looking to come up with a strong display to stake his claim as India's T20I opener.
Middle-order batsmen and allrounders: Nitish Rana, Riyan Parag, Dhruv Jurel, Shimron Hetmyer, Wanindu Hasaranga
Nitish Rana is looking set to be a regular in Rajasthan Royals' middle-order in IPL 2025. Having played more than 100 games in the IPL so far, Rana has ample experience and will be looking to start his journey with RR on a good note. Rana missed most of the games last season due to an injury and will be desperate to make amends for it.
Riyan Parag will be eying another good outing with the bat in IPL 2025 after enjoying a breakthrough campaign last season. He had scored 573 runs in 14 innings in IPL 2024. Parag has been getting chances in the Indian team regularly post his success in IPL and he will be keen to do well once again.
The finishing duties will be on the likes of Dhruv Jurel and Shimron Hetmyer while Wanindu Hasaranga will be another handy big-hitting option. Both Jurel and Hetmyer were retained and they will be looking to justify the franchise's decision.
Bowlers: Jofra Archer, Tushar Deshpande, Sandeep Sharma, Maheesh Theekshana
Jofra Archer is looking set to spearhead RR's pace attack in IPL 2025. The England star will be desperate to make a big impact in the IPL next year after his injury setbacks in the last two years or so.
The other pacers in the RR playing eleven are likely to be Sandeep Sharma and Tushar Deshpande. Maheesh Theekshana is set to be the only frontline spinner on the team.
