Indian bowling coach Bharat Arun has revealed that the Indian head coach Ravi Shastri absolutely hates it when an Indian bowler concedes a boundary to the opposition. He also told that if a bowler concedes two boundaries, Ravi Shastri doesn’t worry about shouting at the bowler. Bharat Arun was one of the main reasons for the inexperienced Indian bowling lineup managing to outclass Australia and make history.

India chased a mammoth score of 328 in the last innings of the final test at Gabba to shatter the records. It went down as the highest chase at the ground with the likes of Rishabh Pant stepping up for the team. The head coach Ravi Shastri and the bowling coach Bharat Arun had a lot of plans for the Australian batsman and they managed to execute the plans to perfection by supporting the inexperienced Indian bowling lineup.

Bharat Arun States Ravi Shastri Is More Expressive

Bharat Arun stated that Ravi Shastri is more of an expressive type and he doesn’t want his bowlers to concede any run. He also stated that he will be ready to get shouted at if a bowler concedes a boundary.

Bharat Arun reiterated that Ravi Shastri also wants the Indian batsman to keep scoring runs while the Indian bowlers to keep taking wickets.

“He will follow the match from the dressing room. But he absolutely hates it when a bowler concedes a boundary. He doesn’t want bowlers to concede a run.

“That’s what he wants. When we bowl, we should keep on taking wickets. And when they are bowling, we should keep on scoring runs. If someone concedes two boundaries, he will shout. If someone concedes a boundary, I know that I am going to be shouted at,” Bharat Arun said on Ashwin’s YouTube channel.

Ajinkya And Virat Are Two Different Captains

Bharat Arun also mentioned on the captaincy different between Ajinkya Rahane and Virat Kohli. He stated that Rahane is calm and the bowlers are not afraid to make mistakes while Kohli gets agitated giving a scary look to the bowler when the bowler concedes two boundaries. Arun mentioned that Kohli is full of energy which might be portrayed in the field and that is not anger.

“When it comes to Ajinkya, he is a calm person. Rahane might look calm from the outside but there is a steely nerve in him.

“He backs players and looks calm and even if a bowler goes wrong, he might not be scared of the captain. He knows that he will be backed.

“With Virat Kohli, if you bowl two bad balls, it might look like he will get angry, but that’s just his energy. Ajinkya brings the calmness, of course, even if he buys-in the plan, he makes sure he executes it to perfection,” Bharat Arun said.
