This match between Brisbane Heat and Adelaide Strikers will be played at Brisbane Cricket Ground (Woolloongabba, Brisbane). It will be the first game at this venue in the ongoing BBL season.

In T20 cricket, this venue is not famous for the high scoring. In the previous season (2019/20), the first batting side mostly struggled at this venue. Out of the six men’s T20 matches at this venue in the previous summer (including one T20I), the chasing teams achieved success in four games. However, 160+ totals are not easy to chase down at this venue as both the remaining chasing teams failed to reach 150 runs in their respective 160+ chasings (during the 2019/20 summer).
