After beginning this tournament with a 7-wicket victory against Perth Scorchers, Melbourne Renegades has already suffered three successive defeats.

The veteran South African leg-spinner Imran Tahir has decided to not join the team this season citing personal issues. So, the 15-year-old Afghanistan left-arm spinner Noor Ahmad will rejoin Renegades side soon as Tahir’s replacement.

Rilee Rossouw, Sam Harper and Shaun Marsh have already scored one half-century each in this season. However, they need to perform consistently to bring back the side into challenging position in this tournament. Captain Aaron Finch will also look to play big knocks in the upcoming matches.

Among the bowlers, Kane Richardson and Peter Hatzoglou have taken 7 and 6 wickets respectively. Also, Josh Lalor has scalped 5 wickets in three matches of this tournament.

The defending champions Sydney Sixers started this season with a 16-run defeat against Hobart Hurricanes. But since then, they have claimed three successive victories.

In their last game, while Sixers were losing their wickets at regular intervals during their chase of 194 runs target, skipper Daniel Hughes‘ incredible 96 off 51 balls helped his team to snatch a 1-wicket victory. Also, the lower-middle order batters put some important contribution in that chase.

Currently, Hughes is the leading run-scorer in this tournament as he has scored 183 runs in four innings (average 61.00). Also, Josh Philippe, James Vince and Daniel Christian have managed to register one half-century each in this season. Meanwhile, Jordan Silk and Jack Edwards have also registered one 40+ score each in the BBL 10.

They have also the in-form bowlers like left-arm pacer Ben Dwarshuis and left-arm spinner Stephen O’Keefe as both have bagged 8 wickets each this season.

In the meantime, Hayden Kerr and Jackson Bird have been added in this squad.

Melbourne Renegades and Sydney Sixers are totally in opposite forms in the early period of the BBL 10. Moreover, they have already met once in this season where Sixers thrashed Renegades and claimed a record victory in BBL history (won by 145 runs). After scoring 205 runs in the first innings of that game, Sixers bundled out Renegades for just 60 runs.

Both teams have some big players, but Renegades stars haven’t performed consistently yet. Talking about the present form, Sydney Sixers are highly favourite for the forthcoming match. However, Sixers are not taking Renegades lightly, especially when they thrashed their opposition in recent time.
