The BPL 2024 final will be played at the Shere Bangla National Stadium, Dhaka on March 1 between Comilla Victorians and Fortune Barishal. The match starts at 6.30 pm IST and will round up the league.

Comilla Victorians led by Litton Das are the defending champions of the BPL title having won it in 2022 and 2023. They have won the title four times. Fortune Barishal, meanwhile are the runners-up of the 2022 season losing the final by just one run against Comilla Victorians. This match is thus a rematch of the 2022 Bangladesh Premier League final. The Barishal side is led by former Bangladesh skipper Tamim Iqbal.

The Victorians chased down 186 against the Rangpur Riders to win Qualifier 1. The Fortune Barishal, on the other hand, defeated the Chattogram Challengers in the Eliminator and the Rangpur Riders in Qualifier 2 to set up a date with the Victorians in the BPL 2024 final.

Barishan chased down 36 against Chattogram and 152 against the Riders to reach the final. For the Barishal side, former Bangladesh skipper Mushfiqur Rahim played a match-winning knock of unbeaten 47 off 38 deliveries. The final is expected to be a close contest between the two best teams in the tournament.

Comilla Victorians qualified for the playoffs finishing second on the table with 8 wins and Barishal qualified finishing third on the table with seven wins. Chattogram qualified as the fourth team with seven wins as well. The Victorians have a good core of overseas superstars including Andrew Russell and Sunil Narine.

The Victorians are sweating over the availability of Mustafizur Rahman for the final. He was hit on his head during a practice session on February 18 and since then has been out of the game. He also had to take five stitches on his head. He was present at the stadium to watch the Qualifier 2 game between the Victorians and the Rangpur Riders and did cheer his team to victory.

There are no broadcasters for the BPL tournament in India. Indian fans can only watch the tournament on the Fancode app on a subscription basis. In Bangladesh, the BPL matches will be telecasted live on TSports, and GTV.
