Brad Hogg Heaps Praise On Virat Kohli's Captaincy, Feels He Has Allowed Players To Express Themselves

Former Australian chinaman Brad Hogg lauded the Indian skipper Virat Kohli for his captaincy in Tests and explained the way he has been inculcating an excellent atmosphere for the youngsters. Virat Kohli- led Indian team has become a dominant force in Test cricket at the moment and they have shown a lot of character.
It was evident in the series in Australia when all odds were against the favour of India and they pulled off a historic win at the Gabba. The Lord’s Test against England was no different as India was in the backseat until the final day and Virat Kohli fired up the whole team to be on their money which produced a stunning win on the last day.
Brad Hogg Impressed With Virat Kohli’s Captaincy
Brad Hogg admitted that Virat Kohli has so far gone about his business perfectly in terms of captaincy and he lauded the skipper for the way he has let the youngsters know their expectations on the field and in the training grounds. He added that Kohli has allowed inclusiveness which is vital for the team’s unity and bonding.
“Virat Kohli is leading the way perfectly. So what he is trying to do there is create a safe environment. He is allowing inclusiveness – so when newbies, come into the team, straightaway they are brought in and they’ve been told what’s expected of them on the field, on their role, the way they have to train and the way they have to perceive themselves on and off the field,” Brad Hogg told on his YouTube Channel.
Brad Hoggs Feels Virat Kohli Has Allowed Players To Open Up
Brad Hogg mentioned that there has been a lot of clarity in Kohli’s captaincy and mentioned the playing trying to express themselves in an excellent environment. He lauded the Indian skipper for creating the environment for the players to open up.
“There is clarity in what’s expected of the player. And if the player’s got something he wants to express to the playing group, he’s allowing an environment where those particular players are allowed to be open straightaway and share what’s on their mind,” he added.
Virat Kohli will be looking to improve on his own form which has gone on a downward spiral in recent times.
