Canada takes on the USA in the T20 World Cup 2024 campaign opener on Sunday, June 2. Canada is placed in Group A alongside the USA, India, Pakistan, and Ireland in Group A.

The T20 World Cup starts on June 2 and will be played till June 29. The matches will be played across nine venues in the USA and the Caribbean. The final will be played in Barbados.

Canada played in the T20 World Cup qualifiers and managed to qualify for the tournament. Being an associate nation, they do not play international cricket regularly. These ICC events are opportunities for lower-ranked sides for them to show their ability on the big stage.

They played a warm-up game against Nepal on May 27 and dominated them. Scoring 183 with the bat, they bowled out Nepal for just 120 to make it a one-sided contest. Canada plays another warm-up game against the Netherlands before taking on the USA in the campaign opener.
