With Silverwood’s tactical acumen and extensive background, the Sharjah Warriorz’s chances to win the title boosted immensely. Silverwood's coaching journey has been stunning.
After serving as England's bowling coach, he took over the reins as head coach in 2019, leading the national side to victories across all formats. His ability to develop effective bowling strategies played a significant role in England’s success on the international stage, and now Sharjah Warriorz are set to benefit from his expertise.
The combination of JP Duminy's leadership and Silverwood’s bowling expertise will be a powerful force for Sharjah Warriorz. As the team prepares for the ILT20 2025, Silverwood said that they have a balanced blend of youth and experience to create a potent threat for opposing teams.
Silverwood’s arrival is expected to add an edge to their bowling attack, with the aim of consistently troubling rival batting lineups and giving the Sharjah Warriorz a competitive advantage throughout the tournament. And the bowling coach is confident to trouble the opposition batters regularly.

With this trio of experienced coaches at the helm, the Sharjah Warriorz are setting their sights on a strong performance and making a significant impact in the upcoming ILT20 2025.
Sri Lanka won the Asia Cup under Chris Silverwood's guidance
Notably, after stepping down as England’s head coach in February 2022, Chris Silverwood took on a new challenge with Sri Lanka in April 2022. He quickly made an impact, leading Sri Lanka to the 2022 T20 Asia Cup title apart from steering them to the final of the 2023 Asia Cup.
His reputation for tactical acumen and transforming bowling units into powerful forces has earned him widespread recognition. Most recently, Silverwood served as the bowling coach for the Oval Invincibles during the 2024 edition of The Hundred under head coach Tom Moody.
Sharjah Warriorz are now banking on Silverwood’s expertise to strengthen their bowling lineup and elevate their performance in the ILT20 2025, as they finished at the bottom of the points table earlier this year. They could win only four matches from 10 games in the ILT20 2024.
