"Couldn't sleep" - Aamer Jamal reveals his condition after Pakistan's embarrassing loss to USA

Pakistan all-rounder Aamer Jamal admitted that he couldn't sleep in the night after watching Pakistan's nightmarish loss to the USA in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024.
The Pakistani team, led by Babar Azam, were out in the middle at Texas for the first time ever to play bat and ball in the United States. Every fan of the country's cricket team and others around the world were backing the Men in Green to open their T20 WC 2024 campaign with a win. However, what happened in reality was a true nightmare.
Babar Azam first watched USA batter Nitish Kumar score a boundary off Haris Rauf and tie the scores and then watched his side falling into pieces in the Super Over. The highly experienced and skillful Mohammad Amir, who had delivered a sensational bowling performance in the regulation overs, leaked very expensive 18 runs in those ultimate and tournament-defining 6 balls.
When Pakistan's turn came to bat, they obviously failed to chase the target and lost the match. It was a result that gave the whole of the Pakistani nation a lot of pain as they were not ready to get embarrassed and humiliated by a team, which playing its first-ever T20 World Cup.
Angry reactions from former Pakistan players came in afterward, something that was bound to happen after such a result. Recently, all-rounder Aamer Jamal expressed his views after seeing the National team's tragic loss.
Aamer Jamal opens up about sleepless night after Pakistan's loss
While speaking to a local Pakistani outlet, Aamer Jamal was asked if he had witnessed the 2009 T20 World Champions' loss to the USA on June 6th. In response, the all-rounder, who last played for Pakistan back in January, claimed that he could not even sleep that night. For a fact, that might not be the case with Jamal only but the entire fan base of the nation wouldn't have slept.

Aamer Jamal then opened up about not getting picked by the Pakistani selectors for National duty after the away New Zealand series. He claimed that he was not disappointed at all when he got dropped from the team without getting any solid reason. Jamal stated that his job is to play cricket and he will keep on doing that regardless of his selection.
"No, I'm not disappointed that I'm not in the team. First time I got disappointed after making my debut, I was dropped from the team without any reason. Like I hadn't performed it was fine but still I took it rather positively after some time. My job is to play Cricket and perform in whatever platform I'm provided with."
"Selection is not in my hands, if it is written for me I will get it no matter what stage it is. So I always believe in playing good cricket, perform well. Selection is up to the selectors," Aamer Jamal concluded.
