India will be heading for their first warmup against the county select XI to prepare for the conditions ahead of the five-match test series against England. This will be an important game for India to look ahead to the future and note the important performances that might get handy while picking the playing XI.
The loss to New Zealand in the ICC World Test Championship final is still a big one to digest and India will now be looking to make some changes in the playing XI for the England test series. The senior men Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinky Rahane will need some excellent performances in the upcoming test series to keep their place on hold.

County Select XI vs Indians, Live Streaming, Time, Venue, and Dates:
For the first time, India will be playing a warm-up game that has been given the status of a first-class match which means that India will have to deliver a playing XI that won’t be allowed to change after the innings like a practice game. This will make it more interesting and fascinating to watch the game as well.
The county select XI will have players from various counties who had performed well and it will be a good opportunity for them to put up a big performance against a team like India that will get them into the England test squad.
The three-day game is set to take place at the Riverside ground, Chester-le-street from July 20 to July 22 starting at 3:30 PM IST. The match will be streamed live on Youtube by Durham County Cricket Club.

India’s Wicket Keeper Dilemma For The Warm Up Game:
India will miss the services of regular wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant who has tested positive for Covid-19 while Wriddhiman Saha has been isolated after being in close contact with an Indian staff who tested positive recently. This rules out two frontline keepers already and the management will have to pick KL Rahul as the keeper or try out Srikar Bharat.

KL Rahul is more likely to get a chance in the playing XI after being on the sidelines for a number of days and he can certainly come back into the test XI with some good performances in the warm-up games.
