CPL 2021: Complete Squads Of All 6 Teams Announced

The complete squads of all the teams for the upcoming season of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL 2021) have been announced. The star-studded line-ups feature the best cricketing talent from across the Caribbean as well as some of the biggest names in international cricket.
The CPL 2021 will see all the matches being played at Warner Park in St. Kitts & Nevis from August 28 to September 19. This is similar to when the CPL 2020 was entirely played in Trinidad and Tobago, with matches played at the Queen’s Park Oval and the Brian Lara Stadium, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
Not only this, but St. Kitts & Nevis government has allowed fans into the stadium for the CPL 2021 venue but only 50 percent of tickets will be sold and all patrons must be vaccinated against COVID-19.
Key Transfers And Draft Picks For The CPL 2021
There were many squad changes for this year’s tournament which sees Chris Gayle and Dwayne Bravo teaming up for the hosts’ team St Kitts & Nevis Patriots and joining them will be Sherfane Rutherford. Keemo Paul has moved to the St Lucia Zouks and Oshane Thomas will now be representing the Barbados Tridents.
In the overseas players, Shakib Al Hasan returns to Jamaica Tallawahs, while Faf du Plessis will turn out for St. Lucia Zouks and Sandeep Lamichhane will play for Trinbago Knight Riders in the CPL 2021. Apart from them some of the other overseas players featuring in this year’s CPL are- Chris Morris, Matthew Wade, Shoaib Malik, Haider Ali, Azam Khan, Usman Qadir, and Samit Patel.
Also featuring in the CPL 2021 will be former India U19 player Smit Patel, who will play for the Barbados Tridents roster as an MLC (Major League Cricket) player. He was recently seen playing for Baroda, featuring in this year’s Syed Mushtaq Trophy. Being an MLC player means that he is a contracted player in the upcoming American cricket league.
