Cricket Australia (CA) has slapped another ban on former Sri Lanka Test player Dulip Samaraweera. The board decided the allegations of inappropriate behavior from Samaraweera towards a second player while coaching.
In September this year, Cricket Australia banned Samaraweera for 20 years after he was found guilty of behaving inappropriately towards a female player. The lengthy ban barred him from holding any position within the board, the state associations, BBL, or WBBL clubs.
Dulip Samaraweera committed a serious breach
According to reports, he had committed a serious breach of Cricket Australia's Code of Conduct during his time as a Cricket Victoria employee. Samaraweera plied his trade as an assistant coach for the Victoria women's and Melbourne Stars WBBL teams for a long time. Earlier this year, he was appointed as the coach of the Victoria women's team.
However, he stepped down from the post just two weeks later after being denied an appointment he wanted to make to his staff. Even after the first ban, Samaraweera has been accused of further misconduct.

Samaraweera denied allegations
The latest matter relates to his time when he worked as a private coach, while employed by Cricket Victoria. Even though the former Sri Lanka cricketer denied the allegations, he decided against participating in the investigation. As a result, Cricket Australia has handed him another lengthy ban of 10 years.
He will be serving the ban concurrently with the initial 20-year suspension. It means he won't be able to hold any coaching position with Australia or any state team until 2044. Samaraweera played 7 Tests and 5 ODIs for Sri Lanka between 1993 and 1995. He scored 211 Test runs and 91 ODI runs.
Cricket Australia gears up for Border-Gavaskar Trophy
Meanwhile, Cricket Australia is currently gearing up to host the Border-Gavaskar Trophy series between India and Australia. The five-match Test series will be getting underway later this month. The first game is scheduled to take place on November 22 in Perth.
The upcoming series is a very crucial one for both teams as it will decide their fate in the World Test Championship. Neither of the two teams has qualified for the WTC final and will be looking to win the series to make it to the final.
