Former Indian opener Virender Sehwag is celebrating his 43rd birthday today and the Twitter world has poured in their wishes for the Nawab of Najafgurh already. Virender Sehwag is one of the best Indian openers of all time as he can change the game quickly and he is one of the hardest strikers of the cricket ball.
Sehwag played 104 tests, 251 ODIs, and 19 T20 internationals for India and scored 8586,8273 and 394 runs in the respective formats. He had a strike rate of 104 in ODI cricket and he even changed the way of playing test cricket. He is the only Indian cricketer to score two triple centuries and has got a double century in ODIs as well.
Twitter Cricket Fraternity Reacts To Virender Sehwag’s Birthday
The Twitter Cricket Fraternity was quick to start pouring in wishes for the swashbuckling opener who was created a lot of fear for the bowlers when he was in the crease. He never cared about losing his wicket and always was looking to take on the bowlers which were his direct game plan. He always looked to get one step ahead of the bowlers and wasn’t shattered by any pace bowling.
Virender Sehwag was the opener for India in the Worldcup winning campaign in 2011 and he interestingly hit the first ball of every game in the tournament for a boundary. He was very vital to India’s success in the tournament and has been one of the most cherishable characters as well. He has a huge fan base on Twitter and the wishes had come over from all over the world in the cricket fraternity.
