Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) will take on the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the 52nd match of IPL 2025. This article provides details about CSK Playing 11 vs RCB for match 52 of IPL 2025.
CSK Playing 11 vs RCB- IPL 2025, Match 52:
Openers: Shaik Rasheed and Ayush Mhatre
Shaik Rasheed will open the batting for the Chennai Super Kings along with Ayush Mhatre. The duo would like to put on a strong display of batting in the first six overs against RCB.
Ayush, who grabbed eyeballs with an impressive debut against MI, failed to make a significant contribution in the last game against PBKS and would want to rectify that in the upcoming game.
Like Mhatre, Rasheed has looked out of touch in the last couple of games following his debut innings against LSG, as he played with an attacking intent, and would hope to replicate that.
Middle-order batsmen and all-rounders: Sam Curran, Ravindra Jadeja, Shivam Dube, Devold Brevis, MS Dhoni (C, wk), Deepak Hooda
The opening duo of Rasheed and Mhatre will be followed by Sam Curran and Ravindra Jadeja, who will bat at number three and four, respectively, for the Chennai Super Kings.
It appeared that the five-time champions were finally able to identify the right batting combination with the likes of Curran, Jadeja, and Brevis handling the middle order against PBKS.
The evidence of which was on show in the last match against PBKS when the pair of Curran and Brevis stitched a crucial partnership for the fourth wicket and guided the team to a challenging total of 190 runs.
Having said that, Chennai Super Kings would want experienced all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja to contribute more with the bat as the left-hander has been promoted to bat at a crucial position.
One of the biggest positives for the Chennai Super Kings in the last game was the form of English all-rounder Sam Curran, who scored an attacking half-century and was well supported by Devold Brewis.
Bowlers: Noor Ahmad, Matheesha Pathirana, Khaleel Ahmed, Anshul Kamboj
CSK would be disappointed with the way their bowlers, especially the spinners, bowled against PBKS, with the likes of Noor Ahmed and Ravindra Jadeja not being able to stem the flow of runs.
The duo would like to deliver an improved performance in the next match against RCB in Bengaluru.
MS Dhoni, captain of the CSK, would be concerned by the performance of Sri Lankan fast bowler Matheesha Pathirana, who has been ineffective in the middle overs.
Pathirana's lack of form is one of the reasons for CSK's poor performance in the 18th edition of the league, as they became the first team to be eliminated from this year's tournament.
The duo of Khaleel Ahmed and Anshul Kamboj has been good with the new ball and has picked up wickets in the first six overs.
The new ball bowlers haven't had much to do at the backend of the innings as they haven't had much support from fellow fast bowlers Curran and Pathirana.
