Chennai Super Kings started their IPL 2025 campaign with a win over the Mumbai Indians in the third match of the season. The Ruturaj Gaikwad-led side will take on RCB in their next match at Chepauk on March 28.

CSK will look to continue the momentum that the side has gained in their second match against RCB and would like to put on a more mature batting performance than what they delivered against MI after a scare in the last few overs.

Chennai Super Kings failed to qualify for the playoffs last season and will look to finish in the top four in order to qualify for the playoffs and win their sixth IPL title and first after the 2023 triumph against the Gujarat Titans.

The six-time IPL champion will look to register a win over RCB in what promises to be a hard-fought contest. We will be taking a look at the possible playing 11 of Chennai Super Kings for the match against RCB

CSK Playing 11 vs RCB- IPL 2025, Match 8:

Openers: Rachin Ravindra, Rahul Tripathi

The Chennai Super Kings are expected to continue with the same opening combination of Rachin Ravindra and Rahul Tripathi. Although Rahul Tripathi was dismissed early against MI, CSK is known for giving players a long rope.

As far as Rachin Ravindra is concerned the left-hander was the one who held the innings together for CSK on a sluggish wicket at Chepauk and will look to do the same in the CSK vs RCB match.

Middle-Order Batters and All-Rounders: Ruturaj Gaikwad, Shivam Dube, Deepak Hooda, Sam Curran, Ravindra Jadeja, MS Dhoni (wk)

The opening duo will be followed by captain Ruturaj Gaikwad, Shivam Dube, and recruit Deepak Hooda. Captain Ruturaj Gaikwad will look to build on the good form he showed in the opening match against MI.

Deepak Hooda who is a part of Chennai Super Kings this year will look to deliver a strong performance along with Dube who will look to take on the spinners in the middle overs like he did last season with a strike rate of 162

Sam Curran and Ravindra Jadeja coming in at number six and seven respectively will provide depth to CSK's batting a move that will provide much-needed freedom for the batters to go for their shots right from the first ball with MS Dhoni batting at number eight.

Bowlers: Nathan Ellis, Ravichandran Ashwin, Noor Ahmad, Khaleel Ahmed

CSk's opening match of the season witnessed the return of Ravichandran Ashwin to Chepauk which turned out to be a decent outing as he picked up the important wicket of Will Jacks and gave good support to Noor Ahmad who picked up four wickets.

The fast bowling department will be taken care of by Khaleel Ahmed and Nathan Ellis both of who picked up wickets at crucial stages for the team.
