Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) are facing each other in the 43rd match of IPL 2025. The CSK vs SRH match is being played at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

Both CSK and SRH have endured a terrible campaign in IPL 2025 so far and will be desperate to win this game. While they are still mathematically alive in the tournament, their chances of progressing ahead of the league stage are extremely low.

Both teams have managed to win only two of their first eight games. SRH are currently at the ninth spot in the points table while CSK are languishing at the tenth. CSK and SRH now need nothing less than a miracle for a place in the top four.

CSK vs SRH: SRH opt to bowl

SRH captain Pat Cummins won the toss and opted to bowl first. Speaking at the CSK vs SRH toss, the Australia star said: "We gonna have a bowl first. Chennai is always a big game, coming off a couple of loses but it is a new venue and boys are up for it. If the wicket is good, backing them to get a big total and otherwise also, backing them to do well."

On the other hand, CSK captain MS Dhoni said: "Dew was the main reason why we also wanted to bowl first. Almost in all the departments when you are not playing good cricket, chances are there will be pressure on the other guys as well.

"We want to get the process right and that is what we are looking to aim for the rest of the games. We are looking at one game at a time and we are looking at few combinations and have confidence in your ability and execute what you want to. We have made 2 changes. Rachin and Shankar out. Brevis and Hooda in," he added.
