During India vs Australia final in Commonwealth Games 2022, a moment of laughter surrounded the Indian camp when Yastika Bhatia fell over an advertising board. The incident brought laughter among her teammates in the dugout, who witnessed her losing her balance while crossing the advertising board.
Yastika Bhatia was named the concussion substitute for Taniya Bhatia during the India vs Australia final of Commonwealth Games 2022 on Sunday. Taniya was hit on the back of her head while keeping the wickets in the 1st innings.

During the nail-biting serious clash, a moment of laughter took the attention of everyone. During the final over of the match, Yastika Bhatia was all set to take on the field. However, she lost her balance while walking over the advertising board and fell to the ground.
All Indian women players watched this incident while sitting in the dugout and could not stop their laughter. The video was shared on social media and Smriti Mandhana can be seen giggling over Yastika Bhatia’s tumble. Even skipper Harmanpreet Kaur couldn’t keep a straight face over the incident. India women finished with the silver medal in Commonwealth Games 2022 after losing the final to Australia. In the match, India failed to chase the 162-run target set by Australia. In the 1st innings, Beth Mooney slammed 61 runs while Meg Lanning scored 36 runs to take Australia to 161-8 in 20 overs.

For India, Renuka Singh and Sneh Rana picked 2 wickets each while Deepti Sharma and Radha Yadav picked 1 wicket each. Later, India lost openers Shafali Verma and Smriti Mandhana cheaply for 11 and 6 respectively. However, Jemimah Rodrigues and Harmanpreet Kaur scored 33 and 65 to take a dominating position.
The duo built a 96-run stand for the 3rd wicket, taking the team to cross 100 runs on the board till the 14th over. While India looked in dominating position at that time, a batting collapse that followed put them on the losing end. In the end, Indian women were all out for 152, losing the match by 9 runs. They finished with the silver medal in CWG 2022.
