Former South Africa great Dale Steyn began the predictions by picking India pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah as the highest wicket-taker in the India vs England series. At the same time, Steyn also cautioned that Bumrah needs to be fit for all five Tests in order to finish the series as the highest wicket-taker. He then went on to say that Bumrah could finish as the highest wicket-taker even if he plays four Tests.

Former cricketer-turned-commentator Aakash Chopra picked a dark horse, saying that Prasidh Krishna could be the highest wicket-taker in the India vs England Test series.

Deep Dasgupta backed Bumrah as well as Kuldeep Yadav to shine with the ball before Sanjay Bangar went with Bumrah as his pick. Former Australia batsman Matthew Hayden said that while Bumrah would be one of the favourites, Prasidh Krishna could spring a surprise or two if he finds his length. Varun Aaron then concluded the predictions by picking Bumrah.

India eye a famous series win:

The India vs England Test series will mark the beginning of a new phase for the Indian Test team. The series will truly start the transition phase in the Test team. With the likes of Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Ravichandran Ashwin retiring from Tests, a young Indian team led by Shubman Gill will be in action in England.

Gill will be eager to start his captaincy reign on a winning note. India have not won a Test series in England since 2007, and the Gill-led side has an opportunity to power the team to a famous victory. India will also look to bounce back after suffering heavy defeats against New Zealand and Australia in their last two Test series.

The series will be the first series of the new WTC cycle for India as well as England, and both teams will be eyeing a crucial win. England have not defeated India since 201,8 and the upcoming series will give them a good opportunity to get a win.

The highly anticipated India vs England series is scheduled to be played from June 20. The first Test is set to be played at Headingley.
