India National Cricket Team and the Australia National Cricket Team are crossing swords with each other in the third match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25. Day two of the game between the teams is taking place at the Gabba in Brisbane.

While the main action is keeping everyone excited, the India National Cricket Team support staff has been working tirelessly with the young guns. The assistant coaches in Abhishek Nayar and Ryan Ten Doeschate are making sure they fine-tune the players who are on the bench.

During the lunch break on the ongoing day 2 of the ongoing game, Abhishek Nayar and Ryan Ten Doeschate were seen working with Sarfaraz Khan, Harshit Rana, Prasidh Krishna, and Devdutt Padikkal along with the other support staff of the team, reported TOI.

Abhishek Nayar, in particular, was seen focusing on Sarfaraz Khan. The two were seen having a fine banter and amid the net session, there was a special guest appearance. Australia National Cricket Team coach Daniel Vettori was in the Indian nets towards the fag end of the session, when play was about to resume

Daniel Vettori, who was wearing a big baseball glove, decided to roll his arm over to Sarfaraz Khan in the corner-most net, as per the same report. The Mumbai batter, however, comfortably played the loopy deliveries from the former New Zealand National Cricket Team player before he walked off.

As Daniel Vettori left the session, Sarfaraz Khan continued batting in the nets. He was seen facing side-arm music and looked a bit uncomfortable against the deliveries rising from the good-length spot, which was fired by the assistant coach Abhishek Nayar.

Sarfaraz Khan, however, soon adjusted and then dealt with the deliveries comfortably by going on the backfoot later in the session. The balls which were pitched up were dealt very comfortably by both Devdutt Padikkal and the Mumbai batter.

Following that, young Indian players ended their session and quickly winded up to reach the changing room in time for the first delivery of the second session, which was dominated by the Australia National Cricket Team batters Steve Smith and Travis Head.

Australia National Cricket Team have taken command of the Test match

Australia National Cricket Team have taken command of the game as they batted magnificently on Day 2. Travis Head (152) and Steve Smith (101) slammed blistering centuries and their innings have taken their team's total past 350. For India, Jasprit Bumrah has been a star as he has picked a five-wicket haul.

The fast bowler hasn't got the desired support from the others, which is why Australia have marched ahead in the game. The hosts would be keen to put big runs on the board and put pressure on India.
