The Cockroach Janata Party and student groups staged protests demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over the alleged NEET-UG paper leak. Notably, the protests led to repeated Parliament adjournments, police action, and public interest litigation in the Delhi High Court.

Danish Kaneria shared his views on social media about the recent protests in India. The former Pakistan cricketer claimed that many opposition-led protests follow a similar pattern of attacking cultural and political symbols instead of raising governance issues.

Danish Kaneria stated that parties supporting the Cockroach Janata Party are trying to create political instability. He also alleged that some opposition leaders are trying to recreate political unrest similar to that seen in other countries.
"No discussion. No solutions. Only slogans, abuse, and chaos. The opposition seems to be living under the illusion that one day they will be able to create a Nepal-like situation in India."
Kaneria made his Test debut at the age of 19 against England in Faisalabad in 2000. He represented Pakistan in 61 Tests and 18 ODIs between 2000 and 2010, taking 261 Test wickets at an average of 34.79, including 15 five-wicket hauls.
He recorded his career-best Test figures of 7/77 against Bangladesh at the Bangabandhu National Stadium in 2003. Kaneria also played a key role in Pakistan's Test victories over England, New Zealand, and India. However, he featured in only 18 ODIs, including the 2007 ICC Cricket World Cup.

Kaneria also described protests based on assumptions rather than verified facts. He questioned how the country could move forward if people protested before confirming the truth.
"No trade deal with the US has even been signed yet, but some farmers are already ready to block Delhi. This is becoming a circus. How can a nation progress when so many people are willing to protest first and verify facts later?"
The Cockroach Janata Party held a 'Sansad Chalo' march on July 20. The protest led to police lathi charges, the use of tear gas, and the registration of 10 FIRs in Delhi. Thousands of protesters gathered near Jantar Mantar to demand education reforms.
The Delhi High Court took up three public interest litigations alleging excessive police force during the demonstrations. It issued notices to the Centre and the Delhi Police and directed officials to preserve CCTV footage and all other electronic records related to the incident.
