Former England footballer David Beckham is expected to attend the semi-final match between India and New Zealand in the ICC World Cup 2023. David Beckham is set to watch the highly clashed encounter alongside cricket icon Sachin Tendulkar and various celebrities.

The Rohit Sharma-led team will take on the Kane Williamson-led side in the semi-finals at the iconic Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Wednesday, November 15. The two teams faced each other in the 2019 semi-final game, where the Kiwis emerged as the winners.

David Beckham is currently in India as a UNICEF goodwill ambassador. The former England football captain’s visit aligns with UNICEF’s partnership with the ICC for women’s empowerment and gender equality in cricket. Beckham will bring star power to the semi-final match.

Beckham might be seated alongside Sachin Tendulkar at the India-New Zealand semi-final, with discussions about a potential pre-match segment, according to Rev Sportz.

“Beckham could be seated alongside Sachin Tendulkar at the India-New Zealand semi-final, and there is talk of a pre-match segment as well” reported Rev Sportz.

India Remains The Only Undefeated Team In The World Cup 2023

The Men in Blue registered a win against New Zealand in Dharamshala, where Virat Kohli’s 95 played a crucial role in a four-wicket triumph. Mohammed Shami’s five-wicket haul restricted New Zealand to 273 runs, allowing India to chase the target with 12 balls to spare.

India maintained their exceptional form in the 2023 campaign, securing victories in all nine matches. The home team registered victories against the three semi-finalists, South Africa, Australia, and New Zealand. They secured the top spot in the 10-team points table.

Kane Williamson and Rachin Ravindra, who has amassed 565 runs in his World Cup debut, are key assets for New Zealand. Tim Southee would add strength to the Kiwi squad in the absence of Matt Henry. New Zealand is poised to present a significant challenge to India.
