Vintage David Miller for the Delhi Capitals (DC). When half of their batting unit was dispatched by the Gujarat Titans bowlers, the experienced South African batter remained strong on the ground, despite sustaining an injury.
One of the highlights of the match was Miller’s monstrous 6 vs the Gujarat Titans bowler Prasidh Krishna. Miller smashed the seasoned Indian pacer for a huge six. After the solid connection with the bat, the ball travelled to 106 meters at the Arun Jaitley Stadium.
Despite the gallant fight by David Miller, the thriller ended in favour of the touring team, the Gujarat Titans. The Titans won the match by 1 run, scoring 210 in the first innings. Delhi Capitals tried well, David Miller, and KL Rahul tried their best, but could not save the team tonight.

Another nail-biting match in the ongoing Indian Premier League 2026 (IPL 2026). Gujarat Titans (GT) displayed brilliant cricket in their away match at the Arun Jaitley Stadium against the Delhi Capitals (DC). The GT batting line-up, especially Jos Buttler, captain Shubman Gill, and Washington Sundar, was sensible and effective.

Jos Buttler, Shubman Gill, and Washington Sundar were the starters in the first innings
Delhi Capitals captain Axar Patel won the toss and decided to bowl first on their home ground. Patel’s strategy looked accurate when their pacer Mukesh Kumar took the wicket of the Gujarat Titans opener Sai Sudharshan early in the first innings. After the dismissal of Sudharsan, Jos Buttler displayed a stunning batting performance tonight, scoring 52 off 27 balls.
After the fireworks by the England international, GT captain Shubman Gill and Washington Sundar played their parts well to maintain the momentum provided by Jos Buttler. Shubman Gill smashed a 70-run knock. In his 45-ball knock, the opener hit four 4s and five 6s. On the other side, Washington Sundar got 55 off 32. Batting first, the Gujarat Titans registered 210 for 4 in 20 overs, putting the Delhi Capitals in a challenging situation.
In comparison to the first innings, the second innings was more eventful. DC started the run chase in style because of the stunning knocks by Pathum Nissanka and KL Rahul. Both of the batters played their parts well but missed milestones individually. Nissanka missed a half-century by 9 runs, and Rahul missed a century by only 8 runs.
David Miller's fight went in vain
The dismissals of Rahul and Nissanka proved massive, and one of the crucial moments as well. Soon after the departures of the openers, DC lost multiple wickets in quick intervals. Gujarat Titans' ace spinner Rashid Khan claimed two wickets in two balls.
Nitish Rana and Sameer Rizvi were dismissed quickly. Tristan Stubbs, another proven batter of the Capitals, lost his scalp cheaply in the run chase. David Miller kept the team in the fight with an injured finger. The winner was decided after the final ball of the match; GT defeated DC by only 1 run.
