In the high-scoring chase, captain David Warner and the middle-order batter Azam Khan guided the team to a hat-trick of wins. Warner, who came to open the innings, registered 50 runs in 36 balls. Naseem Shah, Warner's opening partner, played a blistering 23-run knock against 11 balls.

But the main hero in the contest, for the Karachi Kings, was Azam Khan. Before losing a wicket, the batter took the team very close to the target. Batted with a strike rate of 217.65, Khan scored 74 runs in 34 balls, with six 4s and six 6s. After the match, the Karachi Kings captain explained the importance of Azam Khan's match-winning knock.

David Warner praised Azam Khan

"Look, that was fantastic. You know, he just needed a little bit of intent to come out and play his way, and we know what he's capable of. I know he's definitely capable of what he's capable of, but to see him come off tonight and bat in the middle, look like he did. It's going to hold him in good stead for the rest of the tournament," Warner said about Azam Khan's batting performance.

Though there were no official words on Warner's visit to Australia. When the batter joins the team again, it will be interesting to see.
