Delhi Capitals (DC) will be locking horns against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the fourth game of IPL 2025. The game is scheduled to take place on Monday (March 24) at the Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium, Visakhapatnam.

DC finished IPL 2024 at the sixth spot in the points table. Playing under Rishabh Pant's captaincy, they won seven and lost as many games last season. They missed out on a playoff spot only because of the net run rate and will be keen to finish in the top four this season.

Just like DC, LSG also missed out on a playoff spot only because of their net run rate. LSG also won seven of their 14 league games but could only finish at the seventh spot because of their poor net run rate.

Jake Fraser-McGurk vs Shamar Joseph:

Last year, Jake Fraser-McGurk made his debut in the IPL and incidentally, his first game was against Lucknow Super Giants. The highly-rated Australian batsman hit the ground running by smashing a whirlwind fifty on his debut.

He went on to score 330 runs at a strike rate of 234 in his debut IPL season. Fraser-McGurk can just put a game to bed if he bats for a handful of overs. He will be a huge threat for LSG and they will be hoping that their fast-bowler Shamar Joseph strikes with the new ball to dismiss the DC opener cheaply.

Rishabh Pant vs T Natarajan:

Rishabh Pant will start a new journey this IPL. After leaving Delhi Capitals, he will be leading LSG this season and will be keen to lead his side from the front. He will be facing his former side in his first game with LSG and will be fancying his chances of delivering with the bat.

Pant is more than capable of playing a match-winning knock and DC will be relying on T Natarajan to ensure that their former captain does not last long on the crease. Natarajan can trouble Pant with his variations and will be hoping to get the big scalp.

Nicholas Pooran vs Axar Patel:

The battle between Nicholas Pooran and Axar Patel could very well decide the fate of the upcoming DC vs LSG game. Pooran will be one of the key players for LSG and if he gets going, DC will have a big task on their hands. An in-form Pooran can just blow away any team on his day.

The onus will be on DC captain Axar Patel to lead from the front and ensure that Pooran does not run away with the game. Axar has been in good form in recent times and will be fancying his chances of stopping Pooran.
