Chennai Super Kings stars Deepak Chahar and Matheesha Pathirana have reacted to Ambati Rayudu taking a dig at Royal Challengers Bengaluru after their exit from the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League 2024.

Less than a week after knocking CSK out of IPL 2024, RCB exited the competition as well after failing to beat Rajasthan Royals in the Eliminator at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. While the Bengaluru-based outfit came up with a fighting performance, their efforts were not enough to win a seventh game in a row.

After being asked to bat first, RCB posted 172/8 in the allotted 20 overs with none of their batters managing to score a fifty. In reply, RR recovered from 86 for 3 to chase down the total in 19 overs. A day after the match, Ambati Rayudu decided to troll RCB over their failure to win the title.

On Thursday (May 22), the former CSK batter took to Instagram to post a video of the CSK players celebrating their fifth IPL title last year. Rayudu was also a part of the title-winning squad last year. He posted the video with the caption: "Sometimes a gentle reminder is required."

Many believe that Rayudu's post is a reaction to RCB's extravagant celebration after beating CSK last week. And Deepak Chahar and Matheesha Pathirana's reaction has all but confirmed that the CSK camp was not happy with the way RCB celebrated the win.

The CSK stars reacted to Rayudu's post by posting emojis in the comment section. While Chahar posted a salute emoji, Pathirana posted a couple of laughing emojis followed by a yellow heart.

Ambati Rayudu criticises RCB:

Even after the defeat against RR on Wednesday, Ambati Rayudu criticized RCB by taking a dig at their celebration. The former India batsman said that only passion and celebration are not enough to win a trophy as he took a dig at RCB's celebration after the win over CSK.

"If you talk about RCB, it shows that only passion and celebration don't win you trophies. You don't get the IPL trophy just by reaching the playoffs. Don't think you will win the trophy just by beating CSK," Rayudu said.

Meanwhile, Sunrisers Hyderabad and RR will face each other in the second qualifier for a place in the final. The winner will lock horns against Kolkata Knight Riders in the title decider on Sunday (May 22).
