Devdutt Padikkal Bought By Royal Challengers Bengaluru For INR 2 crore at IPL Auction 2025

Devdutt Padikkal will be taking in the IPL auction once again after being released by Lucknow Super Giants. The left-handed batsman has registered himself for the IPL 2025 mega auction at a base price of INR 2 crore.
The Karnataka star took the IPL by storm when he was signed up by Royal Challengers Bengaluru before the 2020 season. In his debut IPL season, Padikkal smashed 473 runs with the help of five half-centuries.
He impressed with the bat in the following season as well, scoring 411 runs including a century and a fifty.
Even though Padikkal did extremely well in two seasons, Royal Challengers Bengaluru decided to release him before the 2022 mega auction.
He was signed up by Rajasthan Royals and did well with the bat for them in his first season. In IPL 2022, Padikkal scored 376 runs before scoring 261 runs in IPL 2023.
For IPL 2024, he was a part of the Lucknow Super Giants team and endured a tough time with the bat. He played 7 games and managed to score only 38 runs.
