India National Cricket Team keeper-batter Dhruv Jurel might be in line to play the first Test of the series against the Australia National Cricket Team. The Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 is all set to begin on 22nd November at the WACA Stadium in Perth.

India National Cricket Team are mulling over the availability of Shubman Gill and KL Rahul for the first Test against the Australia National Cricket Team. The duo sustained injuries during the match simulation of the team and there are chances that they might miss the opening game.

This has made a lot of speculations about the India XI for the first Test against the Australia National Cricket Team. Also, with Rohit Sharma not being available, there are chances that it might be a team full of youngsters, and hence, there are chances of having a different XI.

Dhruv Jurel has been in Australia for a while now. He was added to the India A squad for the second tour game against Australia A. The keeper-batter, by far, looked the best batter in the side as he showed great promise and maturity in two innings.

Jurel played a magnificent innings of 80 in the first innings and then followed it up with a 68-run knock in the second innings. His scores came when India A side were left struggling at 11/4 and 44/4 in two innings respectively.
