Digvesh Rathi buys a notebook to list his dismissals after BCCI penalties

Digvesh Rathi is one of the new finds of IPL 2025, and in almost every LSG match, he becomes the taking point with his unique celebration.
Recently, Rathi opened up about his notebook celebration. Rathi claims that he wants to buy a notebook and write the names of the players who are dismissed by him.

Digvesh Rathi’s Notebook celebration
Rathi got the opportunity to play for the Lucknow Super Giants in IPL 2025, and he got the buzz after he took his first wicket in the IPL and started celebrating his wicket by writing down the player's name with his hands.
His unique celebration led to a couple of BCCI fines this season. The first time, he got a 25% fine from his match fees, and the second time, he was handed a 50% match fee fine.
But Rathi never stopped with his celebration after fines, and ultimately, fans started loving his celebration. He was fined a total amount of INR 5 lakhs 62 thousand this season.
Lucknow’s rookie started his celebration against his Delhi partner Priyansh Arya. Both players played for the same team in Delhi Premier League, South Delhi Superstarz.
Digvesh Rathi’s brother, Sunny, answered about his notebook celebration that the notebook celebration motivates Rathi, and he doesn’t want to disrespect any player.

Referring to his celebration, Rathi stated that he purchased a notebook and wants to write the names of all the wickets he took this season.
"I have bought a notebook & want to write down the names of all those wickets I took & take it with me". Rathi stated in an exclusive interview with Dainik Jagran.
Rathi also revealed his idol is Sunil Narine, and he also got an opportunity to meet him this season. Nicholas Pooran helped Rathi meet his idol before the Lucknow vs Kolkata Knight Riders match at the Ekana Stadium.
Digvesh Rathi’s IPL 2025 performance
The mystery spinner has been sensational in the ongoing IPL season. He scalped 12 wickets with an economy of 8.09. Rathi was just sold for INR 30 lakhs by Lucknow.
The big names of Lucknow’s team, like Rishabh Pant, and Aiden Markram, have failed this season, but the debutant didn’t fail to prove his worth.
Rathi also overtook Lucknow’s leading spinner Ravi Bishnoi and became the leading wicket-taker for them in IPL 2025. He has become a go-to bowler for Pant in the middle overs.
Rathi has also bowled in the death overs, which shows how quickly the management has trusted him on the field.
