Dinesh Karthik Picks Two Teams To Be In The Finals Of The T20 World Cup 2021

Indian wicketkeeper-batsman Dinesh Karthik in a chat with Isa Guha mentioned that he would be eager to see India and West Indies in the final of the ICC T20 World Cup 2021. West Indies will come into the tournament as the defending champions and there will be a lot of expectations on them.

On the other hand, India hasn’t won a T20 World Cup after winning the inaugural edition and has made just the one final in 2014. India is placed in group B alongside Pakistan, New Zealand, and Afghanistan while West Indies is among the tough Group A with Australia, South Africa, and England. The T20 Worldcup is set to be held in the UAE and Oman from October 17th to November 14th.

Darren Sammy Makes His Predictions For The Tournament

Darren Sammy was first reluctant to predict the winner of the T20 World Cup and instead picked Andre Russell to be the player of the tournament with his all-around abilities. He, later on, went on pick West Indies as the side to watch out for in the tournament without any doubts.

He added that he might not end up supporting them all the time and it might change depending upon the opponents.

“I would love to see India and West indies final. I think my second favorite team after India would definitely be West Indies, only for the way they play cricket. I think this format, they love it, it brings out their best in them and I would love to see West Indies in the final. Whether I want them to win it that will depend on the opponent that day,” Dinesh Karthik said to Isa Guha.
