India had already faced a massive blow in the form of skipper Shubman Gill's injury this morning, and now they would be further bothered by Dhruv Jurel going out of the field after injuring his fingers while fielding in an aggressive position.
Axar Patel came to bowl from the other end alongside Ravindra Jadeja after the senior spinner ripped through the South African batting order. A few chances were created as soon as Axar took the ball and bowled to Kyle Verreynne, who looked too busy scoring runs.

Patel's second-to-last delivery of the 26th over brought some action into the South African innings. The delivery took a sharp edge, and for a moment, the short leg was brought right into play. Dhurv Jurel was in guard of the position, and he moved low quickly to his right to grab a one-handed attempt.
With the catch dropped, the travelling ball of the batter, with a thickish outside edge, had enough momentum to bruise Dhruv Jurel's fingers. He looked in pain as Rishabh Pant took a closer look and soon walked out of the ground.

Coming, coming, and gone, KL Rahul, with a very sharp reflex catch off Kuldeep Yadav's bowling, helps send Marco Jansen back into the Protea dressing room. Jansen looked to counterattack the Indian spinners with his long levers, but it didn't go just as planned.
Just when wickets were not coming off, Kuldeep Yadav was continuously advised by the Indian gloveman to change his bowling end. He came from around the wickets, and Jansen went for a massive slog. The ball nearly smushed the gloves, and the thin edge was caught by KL Rahul with his hands posing as a shovel.
KL Rahul dove to his left when the ball lost its momentum after rebounding from Rishabh Pant's deflection; he finished the catch as the umpire gave out after checking if the catch was completed accurately.

As Day 2 ends at the iconic Eden Gardens in Kolkata, South Africa leads the innings by 63 runs, as 7 wickets fell for just 93 runs by the end of the day. From openers Aiden Markram and Ryan Rickelton to the tailenders Marco Jansen and Kyle Verreynne, all wickets fell to the Indian spinners.
Axar Patel took up the new ball alongside Jasprit Bumrah, but Kuldeep Yadav drew the first blood just at the stroke of Tea. Ravindra Jadeja was the real hero for India in the second innings, as he dismissed the entire middle order, including top-order batter Aiden Markram as well.
Jadeja finished with the figures of 4/29 in their 13 overs and kept troubling the South African skipper with his sharp spin and bounce.
