England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) Chief Executive Tom Harrison has recently travelled to Pakistan to meet Pakistan Cricket Board chairman Rameez Raja.
Harrison’s intention to suddenly visit Pakistan is to mend fences between the two boards after ECB pulled out of the Pakistan tour a couple of months ago, citing the players’ well-being.

Tom Harrison to call PM Imran Khan
However, the administration in Pakistan, along with their players and fans, were very disappointed after both England and New Zealand teams pulled out of the tournament.
Both Pakistan and England are in tremendous form in the T20 World Cup and have topped the points table of their respective groups.
According to a report by news agency PTI, PCB sources said that Harrison is also likely to call Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan in Islamabad before going to Dubai for the T20 World Cup final.
Ramiz Raja to still raise the issue with ICC
Harrison’s visit to Pakistan comes to a say after Raja confirmed that Australia will be touring to Pakistan in March-April 2022 for multi-format series.

According to the report, a PCB source made it clear that while Harrison’s visit was welcome, and so was his assurance that England would make a full tour of Pakistan late next year, Ramiz would still be taking up the case against New Zealand Cricket and ECB strongly at the ICC board meeting.
Pakistan have won all of their five matches in Group 2 to become the first team in the Super 12 stage to secure a place in the semi-finals.
Meanwhile, England went down to South Africa by 10 runs in the final group game but not before winning four games in a row in Group 1.
Eoin Morgan and his men will meet New Zealand in the first semi-final fixture on Wednesday, while Pakistan will clash with the Australians in the second semi-final on November 11.
