The impact of the India National Cricket Team batting superstar Virat Kohli was clearly visible on the Delhi crowd as they were seen cheering for the Afghanistan National Cricket Team pacer Naveen-ul-Haq during the ENG vs AFG clash in the ICC World Cup 2023.

Virat Kohli and Naveen-ul-Haq ended their spat during the 9th match of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 between India and Afghanistan on Wednesday, October 11, at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi.

The rivalry between Kohli and Naveen-ul-Haq started during the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023. The duo were engaged in a verbal spat during a match between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). Following the heated exchange, Naveen was bombarded with the ‘Kohli Kohli’ chants wherever he played in India.

That crowd in Delhi during the IND vs AFG wasn’t kind either and they teased the pacer with ‘Kohli Kohli’ chants. However, Kohli urged the crowd not to tease the pacer and then the duo were seen sharing a handshake and hug during the match.

The Hashmatullah Shahidi-led Afghanistan National Cricket Team are currently taking on the Jos Buttler-led England National Cricket Team in the 13th match of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi on Sunday, October 15.

The crowd in Delhi wasn’t very brutal towards Naveen-ul-Haq, but still, they initially teased the pacer with the ‘Kohli-Kohli’ a few times. However, that changed when he bowled brilliantly against England and removed their skipper Jos Buttler with a brilliant delivery.

On the second ball of the 18th over, Naveen-ul-Haq bowled a fuller-length ball outside off-stump and it nipped back in to bamboozle the batsman.

As Naveen dismissed Jos Buttler, the spectators at the Arun Jaitley Stadium erupted in joy and they were seen cheering the pacer.

Talking about the match, while chasing the target, England were off to a poor start and they struggled heavily against the Afghanistan bowlers. They lost wickets at regular intervals and were on the verge of losing the match at the time of writing the report.
