I Was Trying To Acclimatise To A Wicket - Travis Head
After the match, Travis Head spoke about his approach and his partnership with Matthew Short. Head added that he was adjusting to the pace of the wicket. He stated that using the pace of the ball worked well for them.
“Nice start, bowled well at the start, got one away, set a platform. I was trying to acclimatize to a wicket with pace, hitting good shots and Shorty got a cracking start. Good partnership to start the series well. We’ve played at the Strikers, a consistent theme at the top, we can all play that,” Head said.
“We were trying to use the pace on the ball. Guys have been playing together for the last couple of years. The coach and captain want me to bat freely. I try to whack it every time,” Head added.
