England National Cricket Team all-rounder Ben Stokes was left upset after the dismissal of the star batsman Harry Brook in the 20th match of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 against South Africa National Cricket Team at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Saturday, October 21.
Harry Brook is regarded as the next big thing in English cricket and he has become one of the most talked about names in world cricket following his impressive performances for the Three Lions in international cricket.
During the run-chase of 400, Brook came to after the top-order batters of England were dismissed for low scores. The 24-year-old was under tremendous pressure and he played some good strokes in the match while trying to stabilize the innings.
However, his innings was cut short in the 12th over when the pacer Gerald Coetzee trapped him LBW. Brook decided to go for DRS despite it looking like a clear out. However, on the replays, it showed that the ball would have hit the stumps and he was forced to walk back.
As Harry Brook was declared out after scoring 17 runs off 25 balls, the camera panned towards England Test captain Ben Stokes in the pavilion, who was absolutely devastated and had his hand on the forehead.

Talking about the match, South Africa were invited to bat first and they lost Quinton de Kock in the first over. However, after that, Reeza Hendricks (85) and Rassie van der Dussen (60) stitched together 121 runs and Heinrich Klaasen and Aiden Markram had a brilliant 69-run stand.
Then, Heinrich Klaasen and Marco Jansen joined forces and gave a tough time to the defending champions. It was total domination from the duo and they added 151 runs in just 77 balls. Heinrich Klaasen smashed 109 runs off 67 balls, including 12 fours and 4 sixes, while Marco Jansen scored 75 runs off 42 balls, including 3 fours and 6 sixes to help South Africa post 399/7 on the board.
Chasing the target, England showcased a batting horror show and lost wickets at regular intervals and were eventually bundled out for 170 and faced a humiliating defeat of 229 runs.
