England Cricketers Natalie Sciver, Katherine Brunt Tie The Knot In A Private Ceremony

England women team players Natalie Sciver and Katherine Brunt got married in a private ceremony over the weekend.
Current and former England women cricketers like captain Heather Knight, Danielle Wyatt, Isa Guha, and Jenny Gunn attended the wedding ceremony of the duo.
“Our warmest congratulations to Katherine Brunt & Nat Sciver who got married over the weekend,” England Cricket tweeted on Monday afternoon (IST).
Sciver had announced her engagement with Brunt in October 2019 and the pair was supposed to get married in September 2020. Owing to the COVID-19 pandemic, the wedding got delayed for nearly two years.

Sciver and Brunt became the third renowned pair of an international team to get married after South Africa’s Dane van Niekerk–Marizanne Kapp and New Zealand’s Lea Tahuhu–Amy Satterthwaite.
Both Sciver and Brunt were part of England’s 2017 World Cup-winning campaign at home and also played in the 2022 World Cup in New Zealand.
England emerged runners-up of the mega event after losing to Australia in the final by 71 runs. Sciver played a valiant knock of unbeaten 148-run, waging a lone battle against Meg Lanning & co.
Sciver finished the tournament with 436 runs in eight innings at 72.66 behind Australia’s Rachael Haynes (497) and Alyssa Healy (509).
Sciver also picked four wickets with the ball as many wickets amassed by her spouse in nine games of the 2022 World Cup.

Brunt, who made her debut for England in 2004, is the senior-most player in the current national side having played 14 Tests, 140 ODIs, and 96 T20 International matches.
On the other hand, Sciver made her debut in July 2013 in the ODI series against Pakistan at home.
Sciver has 4774 runs and picked 140 wickets in all three formats for England in 187 matches.
