England will look to end their tour of India on a winning note when they lock horns against the hosts in the third and final ODI of the ongoing series. The game is scheduled to be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Wednesday (February 12).

After suffering a 4-1 loss in the T20I series, England have conceded the ODI series too. India thrashed them by 4 wickets in the second ODI to take an unassailable 2-0 lead. The Jos Buttler-led side came up with a better batting performance in the second ODI as they posted a challenging total of 304 runs.

However, the England bowlers could not come up with a match-winning effort. Rohit Sharma scored a brilliant century to lead India's charge with the bat. India eventually chased down the total with more than five overs remaining.

As England looks to end the tour on a high, we are taking a look at the England Playing 11 for the third IND vs ENG ODI.

England Playing 11 vs India - 3rd ODI, England tour of India 2025:

Openers: Philip Salt (wk), Ben Duckett

Phil Salt and Ben Duckett are set to be the openers in the England Playing 11 for the third ODI as well. Continuing their fine form in recent games, both Duckett and Salt made sure to give England a good start with the bat after their captain won the toss and opted to bat first.

For the second game in a row, Salt and Duckett shared a fifty-plus stand. They added 81 runs for the opening wicket before Salt departed for 26. On the other hand, Duckett made the most of his start and went on to score 65 runs off 56 balls with the help of 10 fours. Both the openers will look to score big in the third game.

Middle-order batsmen and allrounders: Joe Root, Harry Brook, Jos Buttler (c), Liam Livingstone, Jamie Overton

With the upcoming game being England's last ODI before the Champions Trophy, the visitors are unlikely to change their middle order. Joe Root and captain Jos Buttler are expected to lead the charge with the bat for the team in challenging conditions while the onus will be on the likes of Harry Brook and Liam Livingstone to complement their senior teammates.

In the second ODI, Root scored 69 runs and will be eyeing a big score in the third game as well. On the other hand, Buttler, Brook, and Livingstone played handy knocks but would be eyeing a better display in the third ODI. Buttler scored 34 while Brook and Livingstone scored 31 and 41 respectively.

Jamie Overton failed to get going with the bat but he is likely to retain his spot in the England Playing 11. After scoring only 6 runs, Overton picked up 2 wickets for 27 runs in 5 overs.

Bowlers: Adil Rashid, Mark Wood, Jofra Archer, Saqib Mahmood

England could make one change in their bowling lineup. Gus Atkinson is likely to be replaced by Jofra Archer in the England Playing 11 for the third ODI. Archer was rested for the second ODI and Atkinson was recalled to the England Playing 11. However, the fast bowler failed to capitalize on the opportunity.

In 7 overs, Atkinson ended up conceding 65 runs and could be dropped from the England Playing 11 once again. On the other hand, the likes of Adil Rashid, and Mark Wood Saqib Mahmood are expected to retain their spots in the team.
